Wish For Africa Project (Partnership for Health) made it to the Finals!
The Development Marketplace for African Diaspora in Europe (D-MADE) is a new and exciting opportunity to access grants financing entrepreneurial projects that are designed by Africans, to support the development of Africa.
D-MADE, an initiative of the World Bank financially supported by the Belgian Development Cooperation, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development and the French Development Agency, will award cash prizes and technical assistance to innovative entrepreneurial African Diaspora groups for projects implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa, through a competitive process.
Over 500 project proposals were submitted from 15 European countries for implementation of innovative entrepreneurial actions in 34 sub-Saharan African countries, and the D-MADE evaluation committee selected only 70 projects through a highly competitive and rigorous assessment process. Wish for Africa submitted a project proposal to expand its healthcare centres to three other regions of Nigeria.
Wish For Africa and 69 other successful finalists were invited to Brussels, Belgium in April, to be given capacity building assistance to fine-tune their project proposals and develop their business plans for competitive exhibition at the main event which was held in June 2008.

Donate towards our Appeal Fund Now!
Wish for Africa managed to prevent an almost tragic outcome in the case of
a woman with twins delivery in this very moving story.
At our network of primary care centres, set up in
areas with low socio-economic indicators, we do not turn
people back because they are poor and unable to pay before receiving
treatment. We deliver urgently needed treatments and prevent unnecessary loss of lives.
Help us continue this work. We are asking for your support in helping a lot more people than we are able to reach at the moment.
Please donate money, medical equipment or surgical supplies and if possible, adopt one of our medical centres in Africa.
